Transformation Talks at HIND was a great success! - 60 participants took part and discussed transformation topics!

On June 2, 2023, the Transformation Talks took place for the first time. The KoMet team chose HERE IS NOT THERE (Bochumner Straße 138, 45886 Gelsenkrichen) - a socio-cultural center - as the venue.

The transformation in metropolitan areas and the management of this change along the UN Sustainable Development Goals is the joint future task of all social sub-sectors on all spatial scale levels. Against this background, the Graduate Network of the Competence Field Metropolitan Research (KoMet) and the Forum Nachwuchs NRW of the ARL invited young practitioners, young scientists, students and committed persons of citizens' initiatives to the Transformation Talks. During the workshop, exciting projects and ideas of the above-mentioned young talents were presented, which (can) contribute to a positive and sustainable development of urban space.

The aim of the event was to give young designers of transformation in metropolitan spaces from different social sectors a stage and an informal platform to exchange ideas and approaches and to network.

On this day, around 60 participants discussed urban change at the Transformation Talks under the moderation of Jürgen Hein (UA Ruhr).
