Transformation Talks – Urban change from a Junior perspective

The Transformation in Metropolitan areas and the control of this change in accordance with the UN sustainability goals is a collaborative task for the future, which affects all areas of society and spatial scale levels. Against this Background, the graduate network of competence in the field of urban research (comet) and the Forum of young NRW of the ARL young practitioner indoor, Junior scientist:inside, students, and activists from civil initiatives of the Transformation Talks (TT) have been invited. The TT 2.0 builds on the success of the previous year's event, and put again an important impetus for further cooperation in the field of urban Transformation.

On 21. June 2024 took place in the Stapeltor in Duisburg, Germany, the second edition of Transformation Talks, an event that was organized by the graduate network Compared to the metropolis of research of the University Alliance Ruhr and the Forum of young of the Academy for spatial research and planning (ARL) in NRW. This event, the NRW.The Bank was financially supported, as the major meeting place for young practitioners:indoor, young scientists, indoor, students, and activists from civil initiatives established. More than 50 participants:interior came together to tackle the challenges and perspectives of the urban change deal – in particular from the point of view of the younger Generation. The documentation provides a detailed insight into the content and results of the Transformation Talks 2.0 (DD 2.0).

The aim of the second event was a "low-threshold" Forum of the Transformation in Metropolitan-disciplinary areas from the various TRANS-to give a stage, as well as to provide an informal platform to enhance the creation of transparency and the promotion of cooperation between science, practice and civil society.
