The Transformation Talks are a traveling workshop format, the basic discussion of current topics among young urban designers:allows the inside of all disciplines a-changing "place of change" in the "Lounge atmosphere" temporarily. Also concerned and interested citizens:the interior of the urban processes of change, the door and the stage is open. The Transformation Talks to promote exchange, acceptance and networking to the complex issues of urban transformation, and thus social Learning. For this purpose, they have been in 2023, a year, a platform for creative presentations by the young people in planning, scientific, artistic or pragmatic impulses to a changing theme can help. MindShift Ruhr – Kunst x Wissenschaft x Stadt: Neue Synergien für urbanen Wandel
The fourth edition of our Transformation Talks builds on the ideas from last year’s MindShift Ruhr event (TT 3.0). This year, however, the focus shifts to the intersection of art, culture, science, and urban development, with the aim of discussing how artistic practices can serve as catalysts for urban transformation processes.

The Graduiertennetzwerk des Kompetenzfeldes Metropolenforschung (KoMet) und das Forum Nachwuchs NRW der Akademie für Raumentwicklung (ARL) in der Leibniz-Gemeinschaft in Kooperation mit dem Regionalverband Ruhr (RVR) und der Grüne Hauptstadt Agentur Essen (GHA) laden junge Stadtmacher:innen, Künstler:innen, Nachwuchswissenschaftler:innen, Studierende sowie engagierte Akteur:innen aus Stadtverwaltungen zu den Transformation Talks 4.0 im Rahmen des „CampusStreetLab“ in Essen ein. Gemeinsam wollen wir anhand konkreter Beispiele diskutieren, wie Kunst und künstlerische Praktiken urbanen Wandel mitgestalten können. Wie können ästhetische Praktiken, kulturelle Formate und wissenschaftliche Wissensproduktion synergetisch zusammenwirken, um neue Möglichkeitsräume für nachhaltige Stadt- und Regionalentwicklung zu eröffnen? Welche Rolle spielen dabei kollektives Lernen, neue Narrative und experimentelle Räume?
Die Kooperationspartner der Transformation Talks 4.0 sind der Regionalverband Ruhr (RVR) und das Forschungsprojekt Be-MoVe mit ihren Verbundpartnern Stadt Essen und dem Institut für Mobilitäts- und Stadtplanung der Uni Duisburg-Essen (imobis). Koordiniert wird das Be-MoVe von der Grünen Hauptstadt Agentur der Stadt Essen. Gefördert wird das Projekt vom Bundeministerium für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt (BMFTR). Mindshift Ruhr – How we make the green transformation of the Ruhr area together and meet?
The Network graduate work of the competence in the field of urban research (comet) and the Forum young NRW of the ARL have to 2025 for the third edition of the Transformation talks with the theme "mind shift Ruhr – How we make the green transformation of the Ruhr area together and meet?" invited.
The regional Association Ruhr followed with the Charter Of Green Infrastructure the goal of the Rhine-Ruhr Metropolitan region in the coming years green industrial region to transform. It is Green integrated thought – not as a complementary Element, but as a Central component of a socially, environmentally and economically sustainable change. Green infrastructure should not only increasing the quality of life, but the driving force for profound transformations such as the Mobility and energy transition be.

Urban change – Where's the problem actually?
The Transformation in Metropolitan areas and the control of this change in accordance with the UN sustainability goals is a collaborative task for the future, which affects all areas of society and spatial scale levels. Against this Background, the graduate network of competence in the field of urban research (comet) and the Forum of young NRW of the ARL young practitioner indoor, Junior scientist:inside, students, and activists from civil initiatives, have been invited to the Transformation of Talks. The TT 2.0 builds on the success of the previous year's event, and put again an important impetus for further cooperation in the field of urban Transformation.
On 21. June 2024 took place in the Stapeltor in Duisburg, Germany, the second edition of Transformation Talks, an event that was organized by the graduate network Compared to the metropolis of research of the University Alliance Ruhr and the Forum of young of the Academy for spatial research and planning (ARL) in NRW. This event, the NRW.The Bank was financially supported, as the major meeting place for young practitioners:indoor, young scientists, indoor, students, and activists from civil initiatives established. More than 50 participants:interior came together to tackle the challenges and perspectives of the urban change deal – in particular from the point of view of the younger Generation.

2023: Transformation Talks 1.0
Urban change from a Junior perspective
2. June 2023 from about 60 participants:inside under the Moderation Jürgen Hein (UA Ruhr) on the Urban change at the 1. Edition of the Transformation talks discussed. As the Venue was NOT from the comet Team IS HERE BECAUSE (Bochumner road 138, 45886 Gelsenkirchen, Germany), a socio – cultural centre – selected. As an "icebreaker" was initially a City walk to the "Bochumer Straße" of the SEG (Thanks to Ms. Patricia Gajda and Catrin Schenk) is offered.
The Transformation in Metropolitan areas and the control of this change, along with the UN sustainability goals is the joint task of the future of all social areas, at all spatial scale levels. The graduate network of competence in the field of urban research (comet) and the Forum of young NRW of the ARL against this Backdrop, a young practitioner:indoor, invited young researchers:on the inside, the students and dedicated persons of citizens:indoor initiatives in the Transformation of Talks. In the framework of the Workshops, exciting projects and ideas for the o. g. were Researchers put forward, which can contribute to a positive and sustainable development of the urban space ().
